Reed was a four-time All-Metro Conference, four-time All-Louisiana and two-time first team NABC All-District selection. He was also an All-Metro Conference Tournament selection in 1992 and the Metro Conference Freshman of the Year in 1990. He finished his career as the leading scorer and fourth leading rebounder in Tulane history, with 1,896 points for a 16.1 average and 871 rebounds for a 7.4 average. He averaged 15.7 points and 6.8 rebounds in 1993, 14.4 points and 6.5 rebounds in 1992, 16.0 points and 7.9 rebounds in 1991, and 18.4 points and 8.4 rebounds in 1990. He helped bring the Tulane basketball program back from non-existent to nationally-ranked in four years. He led Tulane to the 1992 Metro Conference championship and to two consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, reaching the second round both years. Following his senior year he played in the NABC All-Star Game. |
