Hicks was an honorable mention Sporting News All-American and first team All-Metro Conference selection in 1976. He was also a three-time first team All-Louisiana selection and an All-South Independent selection in 1974. He finished his career as the leading scorer and second leading rebounder in Tulane history, with 1,586 points for a 21.1 average and 895 rebounds for an 11.9 average. He had a 52.2% career field goal percentage and led the Metro Conference in scoring in 1976. He averaged 20.6 points and 10.8 rebounds in 1976, 22.7 points and 12.4 rebounds in 1975, and 20.0 points and 12.8 rebounds in 1974. He had single game highs of 41 points and 25 rebounds. |
