LOUISIANA BASKETBALL HALL OF FAME
White was a two-time honorable mention All-American selection. He was also the American South Conference Player of the Year in 1989 and the Louisiana Player of the Year in 1988. He was a two-time first team All-ASC, All-Louisiana and NABC All-District selection and once a second team All-Southland Conference, All-Louisiana and NABC All-District selection. He was a two-time MVP of the ASC Tournament. He finished his career as the third leading scorer and fourth leading rebounder in Louisiana Tech history, with 1,947 points for a 15.3 average and 1,048 rebounds for an 8.3 average. He led Louisiana Tech in scoring and rebounding for two straight seasons, as well as leading the ASC in rebounding for two straight. He averaged 21.2 points and 10.5 rebounds in 1989, 18.6 points and 11.6 rebounds (5th in nation) in 1988, and 12.6 points and 6.5 rebounds in 1987. He had a field goal percentage of 60.0% in 1989 and 63.8% (7th in nation) in 1988. He led Louisiana Tech to four straight 20-win seasons, including two conference regular season and three conference tournament championships, plus two NCAA Tournament and two NIT Tournament appearances. He was the 8th player selected in the first round of the 1989 NBA Draft.
